The Greater Baton Rouge Literacy Coalition is committed to the implementation of a community-wide Literacy Plan. The development of the plan included the consultation and oversight of a nationally recognized adult literacy expert as well as the participation of a broad base of community stakeholders, including individuals representing literacy service providers, the business community, government agencies, nonprofits, local foundations, faith-based organizations and educational institutions.
The Literacy Plan is based on a study of local literacy needs and
services in the Greater Baton Rouge area and includes Five (5) Strategic
